Sugar free bad?
I was reading an article this morning that says that artificial sweeteners actually do more harm than good. That they do their job so well they cause the body to release insulin which has no sugar to metabolize. It then does the only thing it can do and tells the body to store fat.
This really has me thinking cause I do use a lot of splenda for drinks and to sweeten my oatmeal. I would think with the oatmeal it's probably not so bad cause there is a starch it can metabolize. But empty ones like soda and drinks could be causing trouble. It's another reason to cut back on the soda and other drinks. Good thing I like water.
