National Body Challenge

The cold is still with me but I do still feel as though I am getting better even though it is very slow to happen. I still haven't felt up to doing any exercise. I did get a lot of sleep yesterday and I think that helped me a great deal.

I am going to be joining the National Body Challenge with Discovery Health Online. If you sign before Jan 17th you can get an eight-week Bally Total Fitness pass . I am not sure I have one near me and will have to check that out. It does not cost anything to sign up and it sounds as thought it's going to have a lot of neat stuff to help with weight lost. Seems to me a good way to start out the year.

Time to cut out another bad for me thing.

I'm working on cutting out the diet sodas. I have been thinking about how bad they are for me. I had a cup of coffee to help keep me from having a caffeine withdrawl today. I have been drinking a lot of water this morning, already had 24 ouces. I'm also keeping my journal, it really does help to leave it where I keep my snacks. The perfect reminder for me.

I think the cold is starting to let up some through I had a really rough time sleeping last night because of coughing. Just seems a little easier to breathe today.

Well I did not exactly make it through the holidays as planned. In fact the reason I have not been posting is because I have been sick. First a stomach virus and then followed by a cold that moved from my head to my chest and is still hanging on. I feel very run down and have not got to do any of the exercise I had planned to do. I indugled a little during the holidays as far as food but not overly so. I decided to enjoy myself and not try and beat myself up or keep up with each bite I took. Which with the non exercise has gave me a gain. I'm okay with that...today is new day.

So today I have started to journal everything the way I should be. It's hard once you get out of the habit to get back to it again. It's a habit I have been fighting with for a few months. I have found today, at work, that laying the journal over top of my snacks helps a great deal to make sure I "write before I bite". It feels really good to be keeping up with it all.

Site up and mission set

We got the website registered and movable type installed. I got a simple logo made and put up today. I really need to work with it more but for now this will do. I copied all my (what few their were) entries over from the old blog and put them on the site and then deleted the old blog since I wouldn't be using it anymore. So now we have my newsite Finding ONEderland.

I don't think I have seen ONEderland since the late 80's. I got very close before the disk in my back ruptured and then the 2 months of being bed bound and the following (long) time spent recovering and being afraid to do most exercises landed me far beyond ONEderland. So now it's off to find it again as I work my way back down to where I was last year.

Mark and I started to cook at home now so that we will have healthier meals to eat. This morning he did breakfast and tomorrow I will do it. I still getting in bed early too. We cooked supper together tonight, it was very good. I had forgot how much I really enjoyed cooking. I will have to try some new recipes.

I got the heart monitor today. I have called in 3 times with it so far. Had I had it back during the weekend I could have done 3 in 30 minutes. I am glad that is going away again...I just hope they can figure out what is wrong from the recordings they are getting. It is barely doing it anymore, just like one missed beat eat time now instead of how it did over the weekend.

Adding a good habit each week

The weird feeling in my chest came back Thursday. I went to the doc and she's going to have me wear a heart monitor for 30 days. It appears to be going away again....you know that is about my luck. I don't want to have the problem but dang I would like to at least get the thing to record it once if I am going to have to wear it for a month.

This week I am working on getting into bed early. I went to bed at 9pm last night. I felt so much better this morning. I know not getting enough sleep is not good on me and it makes it hard to loose weight. I am going to add a new thing each week for the next few weeks. Trying to get back into all my good habits I use to have when I was loosing weight the best.
