It has been so nice out the last couple of days. We have taken advantage of this and got in walks. Time changes this weekend so we will have more time after hubby gets off work to get walking in. I am also planning on putting somethings on my iPod shuffle to listen to and do a little walking on my own around the track or something. I have a book that someone did as a podcast that I think I will listen to this way. I also like to listen to a wide range of music and listen to things that are meditative to things that have me pick up the pace and move a bit more. I am really looking forward to the longer daylight time in the afternoons.Recently in Walking Category

I think I am really going to like my new WW leader. I think that will help a lot on the weight loss as the meetings are very important to me. It's another reason I didn't do so well with the online WW stuff. It does work for some people but I am just not one of them. I need to share stuff and have that person to person that the group gives. I am looking forward to getting to know the other ladies in my group and share this journey with them.
I told my husband last night that we were going to work our way back to to do hikes again. That I enjoyed that so much and that I was really enjoying the walking we have been doing even though it is not exactly warm out yet. It's been a long while since I have been this excited about trying to be a healthier me.

I went and canceled my Curves membership today. I haven't been in to
work out in months. I decided I would rather spend that money and go
back to Weight Watchers. I can get the exercise on my own and do that
with my hubby. We use to walk a lot and I am looking forward to do
that again. We actually did a small walk today even though it was only
27 degrees outside. He is also going to be doing WW with me though he
won't go to the meetings. I hope to make it to one at 9:30 tomorrow if
the weather is okay enough to do so.
I got behind on what I was reading...life has a way of doing that to us sometimes. So I finally marked everything read and keeping up with stuff now so that I can reply and offer encouragement to the people I read. I have done before where I keep trying to get caught up so I don't miss anything. The problem with that is that I stay behind reading and not get to comment much and don't even post much as I am spending time trying to read.
The husband and I have been walking every day...even when it rained we found a time between the showers to get out and get a walk in around out block...we walked around the same spot three times so it would be a good amount of time but still not be too far to have to walk back if it rained us out. The last couple of days have been in the 90s so it has been a bit less fun for the walk due to the heat but still feels good getting out and moving.
The one thing that is not going as well as I would like is my weight. It will look like it is going down but be right back up the next day or two. I need to get more veggies and fruits in. I ordered my weight watcher journal online as I am doing WW online. I need to write stuff done since I am not great about logging it on the computer...,easier for me to carry a little journal with me.
I have a Blogger account going now and posting more about home life and my domestic side there. I have thought about combining the two but I think I like them better separated.
My braces are on. They were put on yesterday and everything went ok with it. It took a little while but then I am sure it is that way with anyone cause that is a lot of brackets to put on.
I have not wanted to eat as much as I use to. I actually have my tummy growling by the time another meal comes around. I weighed after I got out of the shower this morning and my weight was down I will make sure to weigh again tomorrow before the shower so I can see what my weight is without having wet hair and stuff.
I am also walking more. I was in another car accident. I was making my left turn on green when someone facing me did a right crossed both lanes and slammed into my car. Nothing I could have done to avoid the accident, other person got a ticket. But the thing is that I am sick of driving. I can control what I do and try and watch out for others but I can't control others. So if it is close enough to walk to and safe enough to walk to then I am walking.
The city I live in was awarded "2008 Best City for Walkers" by Walk Magazine. http://www.walk-magazine.com/Winners_2008.html I think this is pretty cool. I know I love to walk all the places that we have here and that I have always felt we had more paths than most places I had gone to outside of here. Of course I love to walk at all the different places here and otherwise. But with the price of gas it's good to have the best local.
Bay's Mountain where I do my hiking has also recently acquired new land that it looks like will be turned into some hiking trails and stuff. I love seeing these parts of the city I live in grow.
Now if the storms are done with I can hopefully get out and take advantage of all these wonderful spots to walk.
